RECITAL IS THIS WEEKEND!!!!!
NO CLASSES THURSDAY, MAY 15
We have decided to give the team Thursday night off in
preparation for the busy recital weekend. Between
rehearsals Friday night and Saturday morning, as well as
the 4 shows over the course of the weekend, we feel it
will be beneficial and in everyone’s best interest to
give the team a night to rest so they’re at their best
for the shows.

COMPETITION REHEARSAL

It has come to our attention that some routines were
inadvertently left off the competition rehearsal
schedule. The missing routines have been placed in the
new REVISED competition rehearsal schedule above and
includes a time slot for the Finale routine. This is the only chance all team
members will have to rehearse the Finale together before
the shows. If you are unable to attend Saturday
morning’s rehearsal, PLEASE make sure you get together
with a fellow team member to ask any questions and
review the routine.
PRODUCTION MAKE-UP
We WILL be wearing full make-up for the
Production routine for all recitals. The routine was
extremely successful this year and that is, in part, due
to the make-up…without it, the routine doesn’t have the
same effect. The recital is the only chance many of our
friends and family members have to see our Production
routine and we want to give them the full “mime”
experience. We suggest applying the white make-up a
little lighter than normal and also using liquid
eyeliner for easier and faster application and removal.
If, for some reason, it appears there will not be ample
time to apply and/or remove the make-up between
routines, we may have to make the executive decision not
to wear the make-up for any given show. You will be
informed of this during the Saturday morning competition
rehearsal.
RECITAL COSTUME, HAIR & MAKE-UP REQUIREMENTS
All dancers should appear on stage for recital as they
would for a competition…NO EXCEPTIONS. For the Finale
routine, all dancers will wear their Finale t-shirts
(which I've been told will be at the studio Tuesday
evening), black pants (shorts, capris are NOT
acceptable) and their tan gore boots. Hair may be done
however you choose as long as it’s pulled back away from
the face.
Our annual recital is always a highlight of the year.
It’s the team’s opportunity to share their routines and
amazing talent with friends, family and fellow studio
members. Yes, it may be a long and tiring weekend but
it’s also very rewarding and a lot of fun! In the grand
scheme of things, it’s definitely worth it!!!
THANK YOU!!!
Thanks again for such an amazing season – we are so
proud of the kids and grateful to all team members and
their families – you’re the best! We feel so blessed to
be part of your lives. Now let’s finish the season with
a GREAT recital!!! |
